    Signs Of Termites

Termites are very destructive and can enter a home and start causing damage without you being aware of it until it is too late

    • Frass is termite waste and it looks like sawdust. It tends to accumulate near the entrances to their nests.
    • If you see mud tunnels on the outside of your house, they are no thicker than a drinking straw.
    • The appearance of discarded wings or a clump or winged insects likely warrants an immediate termite inspection.
    • Trouble opening and closing doors and windows in cooler weather. In warm weather timber can swell and then in cooler weather the swelling subsides. When termites destroy the wood around door frames, they weaken the timber and moisture can enter into the area. These two factors can cause frames to shift or warp, which is why you’re having difficulty opening or closing doors and windows.
    • The noises they make! You can actually hear termites eating and if danger is detected, the termites bang against their surrounds to warn the colony

    Signs of Cockroaches

Cockroaches are not loners. If you see one, then there is likely 100 that you have not seen.
That’s why proper cockroach control is a tricky business.

    • Strange smell happens when cockroaches in larger numbers give off a bad odour which is like a wet dog. It’s an oily, musty smell that comes from a mix of their pee and poo.
    • Cockroach droppings  look like little patches of what look like coffee grounds on the floor, they are probably pellets of poo.
    • Cockroach egg casings can also be found around the place. These casings are brown in colour and shaped like a cylinder. Depending on which species of cockroach, they can hold between 10 and 50 eggs in each one.

If you don’t get the pest control problem sorted quickly, you can easily have a full-on infestation happening and that’s not fun or funny. Calling a trusted team of professionals in pest control is your best bet.

    Signs of Wasps

Whenever you see a group of insects or bees swarming around your  home it means it is either a food source or a nest.

    • Look for these nests under decks, eaves, and balconies as this keeps them protected from the elements.
    • If it is a swarm of bees, contact your local pest control company and they will arrange for a local bee keeper to come and remove the swarm.
    • If it is wasps then these can be treated and care needs to be taken as wasps can quickly swarm and attack a person or pet.

There are three main types of wasp in Australia:

Paper wasps: Build nests from eaves, the underside of branches and leaves. Nests are normally quite small (maximum 100-200 wasps) and hang by a stalk. They tend not be aggressive, only stinging when defending their nest.

Mud-daubing wasps: These are large solitary wasps than build a small nest consisting of a number of cells made of mud, often plastered to the wall or ceiling. They tend not to be aggressive, only stinging when defending their nest.

European wasps: These bright yellow and black striped wasps are capable of forming very large nests of up to 100,000 individuals! The majority of nests are found in the ground (80%), often visible only by a hole (with wasps flying in and out), with the remainder of nests found in buildings (roof spaces, wall voids and eaves). These are not often found in Queensland.

    Signs of Ants

In Brisbane we mainly deal with a Black ants, Green ants and Carpenter ants
Ant infestations inside the home are pretty obvious and you see them.
Often, these may be ants nesting outside coming in looking for food and moisture. Act as soon as you see them and to put all food away if this is what they are targeting.

      • If you find ants in your house and cannot see where they are coming in from, you may have ants nesting in or under your house. They quite often nest in wall voids, roof spaces and behind cupboards. This can take some searching to find the nest and apply a treatment.
      • Signs of an infestation outside are piles of dirt and sand appearing between pavers and mounds in the lawn.

    • Also if you find family members or pets being bitten, then it is time to treat the ants

    Signs Of Fleas

If your pet has fleas then you may have fleas in your house!

    • If you have bites appearing on your lower legs , then you may already know you have fleas. You will have to start treating them.
    • Your pet’s bed should be the first place you look, as well as any other spots your pet is allowed to sleep. Flea eggs are tiny, off-white ovals that can be hard to see on light-colored upholstery and rugs.
    • Put on long white socks and walk around your home and shuffle around areas where your pet sleeps. Then, check the socks for fleas. If they’ve taken up residence in your home, odds are that a few will be visible on your socks.

How to Reduce Anxiety With Every Breath

This annoying habit involves everything from tapping your fingers on the table and drumming your hands on your legs to playing with your wristwatch or bracelets and playing with the arm of a chair. This might appear to others that you are someone who is unfocused, bored or dealing with anxiety and stress. Tips to help your fidgety fingers stay still: to help you stop your lip biting, take deep breaths to calm yourself before any important meeting. Another great way that might help reduce lip biting is to use a good quality moisturizing lip balm or petroleum jelly. Try using flavored ones (make sure you’re not allergic) and use the taste as a reminder to stop biting your lip.

Regular physical activities help to beat stress and anxiety. It improves the quality of sleep, reduces inflammation of brain cells, boosts self-confidence and self-esteem, enhances physical energy and power and gets rid of anxiety and tension. Physical exercises like tai chi and yoga promote health and induce relaxation. Techniques of deep breathing and inhalation relieve muscular tension and help in reduction of mental strain. Daily meditation for about ten minutes each after waking up and before going to bed goes a long way in significant reduction of anxiety attacks and helps you fight against general mental health disorders and issues.

If you can’t get anxiety under control and it causes chest pain, try to reduce the discomfort by applying the following methods: get your breathing under control (when experiencing hyperventilation). Avoid over-breathing – taking breathes that are fast and deep. Once the breathing is under control, repeat the breathing exercise introduced in the section on overcoming anxiety. Let out excess gas (when experiencing bloating). You may also consider taking medications that will help you with bloating. Distract yourself (when experiencing over-sensitization). You can distract yourself in various ways. Go for a short walk, do some push-ups, or try solving some riddles. Any type of distraction will help.

21 Quick Tips to Change Your Anxiety Forever

Get rid of what’s holding you back and wave a farewell to all your life’s anxieties.  It all boils down to you as a person and that’s the call to acceptance. It’s about time you commit to finding a solution to your anxiety and be ready to fix your life. You might not be broken, but at least correcting this undying trouble should help you heal. Meanwhile, keep in mind “progress, not perfection. ”
There’s not an ultimate silver bullet on how to stay calm, but rather it’s a series steps to train yourself some fundamental exercises to help you handle anxiety attacks. Remember, some of your everyday life practices will have to change to find the solution that works for you.  Once you learn these, you should be in a better position to adopt the mantra, “keep calm and stay positive.”

    The H.A.L.T. System

The H. A. L. T. Acronym stands for hungry, angry, lonely, and tired. Each one triggers a mental or physical reaction that resembles anxiety – and each one is within your control. H. A. L. T. is a handy tool for maintaining calm and avoiding anxiety. After panic attacks tortured me for three long years, I learned to become aware of what was happening in my body and how to avoid triggers. When I felt myself on the edge of panic, I’d run down the checklist and immediately take action to fix one of the four possible causes. Taking action was empowering and grounding. It also calmed the anxiety.

    Can Cannabis Truly Help?

Some dogs owners have reported success in using CBD oil to treat dog anxiety. CBD is a compound found in cannabis and hemp that dog owners, as well as humans, have found useful for treating a variety of different health conditions. Anecdotal reports from dog owners claim that CBD oil can be effective in treating dog anxiety. It’s important to note, however, that although many humans use CBD oil for anxiety treatment purposes, there is currently no scientific data on how using CBD oil affects dogs. Additionally, CBD products are not yet regulated – meaning consistency and purity are not always validated. Therefore, if you’re considering using CBD oil as a treatment for dog anxiety, it’s best to consult with your veterinarian.

Six Aromatherapy Essential Oils for Stress Relief and Sleep

Aromatherapy uses fragrant oils to help with your well-being and health. You can inhale these oils directly, add oils to a warm bath, or use a diffuser. Other ways aromatherapy can help you include helping you sleep, reducing your heart rate, boosting your mood, and making you relax. Some of the best oils to relieve stress and anxiety include lavender, bergamot and sage.  Lavender is one of the most popular essential oils and is also popular in other soaps and cosmetics. Lemon is also popular to lower your heart rate.

Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind, and spirit. It enhances both physical and emotional health.  Several studies show that aromatherapy can decrease anxiety and improve sleep. Some scents are especially soothing. Here are some of the most calming scents:
orange or orange blossom and geranium. Aromatherapy can come in many forms including using essential oils, scented candles, diffusers, aromatic spritzers, inhalers, bathing salts, body oils, creams, massage lotions, facial steamers, etc. There are many available options to use essential oils to help relieve anxiety and stress.

    7 Strategies to Manage Anxiety

While it’s normal to get nervous about an important event or life change, about 40 million Americans live with an anxiety disorder, which is more than the occasional worry or fear. Anxiety disorders can range from a generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), which is intense worrying that you can’t control, to panic disorder — sudden episodes of fear, along with heart palpitations, trembling, shaking, or sweating. For those with an anxiety disorder, it’s important to look into strategies that can help manage or reduce anxiety in the long term, like talk therapy,
supplements, and homeopathic or other medications. But everyone can benefit from other ways to reduce stress and anxiety with lifestyle changes such as eating a well-balanced diet, limiting alcohol and caffeine, and taking time for yourself.

Here are some ways to manage anxiety by strengthening the structure and function of your brain in ways that protect it against anxiety. Remember though, the brain is like any other muscle in your body – it will get stronger with practice. I wish I could tell you that it would get stronger with pizza and tacos but that would be a lie and very unhelpful. Delicious maybe, but unhelpful. What isn’t a lie is that the following strategies have been proven by tons of very high-brow research to be very powerful in helping to reduce anxiety.

    Preventing Anxiety and Depression

Chances are good that you, or someone you know, is dealing with anxiety. One in five Americans over 18, and one in three teenagers 13 to 18, reported having a chronic anxiety disorder during the past year. In talking to college students, they’re not at all surprised that a whopping 63% of students felt tremendous anxiety during their freshman year, according to a report by the National College Health Association. The toll of anxiety can be high: it increases a person’s risk for other psychiatric disorders like depression, and can contribute to diabetes and cardiovascular problems. One sobering study shows that people with anxiety tend to be more sedentary and do less intense forms of physical activity, if any.

That’s ironic, because lacing up your sneakers and getting out and moving may be the single best nonmedical solution we have for preventing and treating anxiety. As a psychiatrist who studies the effects of exercise on the brain, I’ve not only seen the science, I’ve witnessed firsthand how physical activity affects my patients. Research shows aerobic exercise is especially helpful. A simple bike ride, dance class, or even a brisk walk can be a powerful tool for those suffering from chronic anxiety.

9 Ways to Get Rid of Anxiety in 5 Minutes or Less

Most of us look for what’s wrong in our world. When we look for what’s wrong, we’ll always find it. However, there is plenty of what’s right in the world as well – and nature can remind us of this. Perhaps that’s why studies have found being in nature for as little as 10 minutes can reduce stress and anxiety. Go for a walk, do some gardening or sit outside for a few minutes. A change of scenery and fresh air is one of the best ways to get rid of anxiety.

    6. Accept your anxiety

Of course a massage feels fantastic, but it’s also recognized as an integrative medicine technique, and often recommended to treat anxiety and insomnia caused by stress. Therapeutic massage relieves muscle tension, improves circulation, and helps lower the fight-or-flight response , i.e. , stress reaction, that’s typically overactive in people with anxiety disorders. Acupuncture has become an accepted treatment for both medical and mental-health conditions, and it’s also more widely available, including through many hospitals. (some insurance policies will cover a set number of treatments.)

Acupuncturists and medical professionals are unclear exactly why it helps with anxiety, but research notes that acupuncture appears to have a calming effect. If you’re considering treatment, speak with your doctor first. To find a licensed practitioner, check the national certification commission for acupuncture and
Oriental medicine or the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture websites.

This may sound counterintuitive, but accepting your anxiety (instead of feeling ashamed or frustrated by it) will actually help you feel less anxious. It doesn’t matter whether you inherited your anxiety from your family or your lifestyle, or both. It’s here now, and acknowledging that instead of fighting it frees you up to learn how to manage it. Accepting it doesn’t mean giving up, either. It means you stop spending energy berating yourself for being anxious and instead learn what works for you when it comes to self-soothing.

Many therapeutic methods have been studied, but cognitive-behavioral techniques have been shown to work the best. In fact, treatment of social anxiety through these cognitive-behavioral methods produces long-lasting, permanent relief from the anxiety-laden world of social anxiety. Don’t let semantics and terminology about therapy throw you off. While it is correct and best to say we use “cognitive-behavioral” therapy, this includes a mindfulness approach to overcoming it, and it most definitely includes an acceptance of things as we continue to get better.

9 Ways to Reduce Anxiety Right Here, Right Now

Science is discovering more about the “gut-brain connection.”  Researchers often refer to the belly as the second brain, since about 95% of serotonin receptors are found in the lining of the gut.  It’s why you get butterflies in your stomach when you’re anxious.  Science shows that foods containing certain vitamins and minerals may help reduce anxiety, so when you’re thinking about natural ways to help anxiety, consider filling up on these:
leafy greens, legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, which are rich in magnesium. Evidence suggests that magnesium may have a beneficial effect on anxiety.

Spending more time on your own to strengthen your mental abilities is one of the finest ways to reduce anxiety. Meditation helps you to develop mental strength and improve your focus. Moreover, sound sleep can also be acquired by meditation. As the hold of negativity starts loosening its grip over the mind, it gets more space. Yoga and meditation, if practiced on regular basis, boost self-esteem and one feels healthier by doing so.

Following easy remedies on how to get rid of nervousness can help a great deal in staying calm and reducing anxiety during stressful times. Signs and symptoms of nervousness vary from one person to another. Usually, it is characterized by emotional tension, restlessness, fear, agitation, panic, irritability, lack of concentration, rapid heartbeat, sweating, dry mouth, nausea, upset stomach, frequent urination, headache, muscle tension, trembling, shortness of breath, insomnia, etc. Under normal circumstances, feelings of nervousness can be overcome by using certain techniques.

Essential oil from lavender has been found to have anti-anxiety effects. A German study found that Silexan, a pill containing an essential oil produced from lavender flowers was as effective as Lorazepam, an anti-anxiety drug, in reducing anxiety symptoms in people with generalised anxiety disorder. Lavender oil can be used in a number of different ways. Spray it around the room, put a little oil on your wrist or at night put a little oil on your pillow for happy zzz’s.

If you think that the perfect cup of coffee it keeping your mind in place, reality might be way different. Chronic anxiety is not friends with caffeine as it can lead to jitters and nervousness. In many cases, caffeine makes anxiety disorders worse than it is. You might have panic attacks and other symptoms related to anxiety. Reducing caffeine intake can stabilize your body and mind.

16 Simple Ways to Relieve Stress and Anxiety

Drinking orange juice mixed with one teaspoon of nutmeg and two tablespoons of honey can cure nervousness and anxiety in a natural way. Foods rich in carbohydrates (opt for complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbohydrates), proteins, vitamin c and b vitamins can help relieve nervousness to some extent. Thus, you can have nuts, beans, yogurt, soybean, tofu, yellow corn, cheese, whole grain bread, spinach, lentils (for brain clarity), bell peppers, potatoes, mushrooms, brown rice, bananas and dairy products to fight stress. Peanuts, strawberries, oranges, apples, avocadoes, and grapefruits are also helpful.

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point, and the first step to not letting it rule your life is to understand how to deal with anxiety and what makes it worse. Anxiety is the feeling you get when your nervous system sends a signal to your brain that you’re being under attack. It’s a primal instinct triggered by real or imagined stress. Luckily, scientists have studied anxiety and found simple ways to calm our ancient nervous system down.

How to Stop Feeling Anxious Right Now

Watching a clip of your favorite comedian or blooper reel will help you stop feeling anxious fast. Why? Because you can’t laugh and stay anxious at the same time, physiologically. Your body relaxes after a bout of laughter in a way that gets rid of anxiety. Plus, according to the mayo clinic, laughter brings in oxygen-rich air, which stimulates your heart and lungs, and spikes your endorphins.

If you’re struggling with anxiety issues, don’t suffer in silence – talk to someone you trust about it. You should ask for more help if: you’ve tried some of these suggestions and still feel anxious or fearful, your anxiety has been going on for some time and not getting any better, it’s stopping you from doing things you usually do or want to do, it’s strong and unpleasant. If you experience intense anxiety or panicky feelings frequently, this can be seriously distressing and disabling. It’s causing you emotional distress and making you feel fed up. Depression and anxiety often go hand in hand, if you have lost interest in things you once enjoyed or feel low all the time it could be a sign of depression.

10 Ways to Naturally Reduce Anxiety

Not only have studies proven that laughing can help cure the body of certain diseases and illnesses, but it can also reduce the levels of stress hormones and anxiety. This is because when one laughs, the body releases “feel-good” chemicals called endorphins. These are the same chemicals that are released when we exercise and the same chemicals that naturally help fight-off depression. So to replace any negative, jittery feelings with positive, confident ones simply fill the hours leading up to the interview with laughter. Go visit your funniest friend or watch that one movie no matter how many times you see it always leaves you in stitches. Or you can even download your favorite comedian’s stand up onto your Ipod and listen to it.

There is a connection between what you put into your body and how you feel. Have you ever heard of the adage, “you are what you eat?” be mindful of what you are putting into your body because it may be negatively affecting your physiology. Some great foods to reduce anxiety include leafy greens, healthy fats, like avocado or coconut oil, seeds, legumes and organic meats. More importantly, do your best to avoid all sugary foods, caffeine, and alcohol. This is one of the most holistic ways to get rid of anxiety naturally.

What is anxiety? How can I treat anxiety?

For the most part, anxiety is a condition that comes and goes. But for some, anxiety never goes away completely. That’s the bad news. The good news is you can manage the symptoms so they don’t manage you. If it’s helpful, consider your anxiety as a chronic condition that needs constant monitoring. Miss a day of treatment and you may throw your system off. Having a plan means your daily to-do list includes anti-anxiety strategies.

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health issues that affect one and all. Most people resort to popping sedatives and pills to seek escape routes from anxiety by sleeping on it. You may be a ten-year-old child getting anxious over examination scores or an eighty-year-old grandmother falling to pieces over loneliness. Anxiety is a disease that might seem like a minor problem in the beginning but can assume vicious forms of insanity if left uncared and untreated.

Can you get rid of anxiety?

The herb Valerian is the most effective natural sedative. Its properties of tranquilization cure sleeplessness and get rid of anxiety. Taking Valerian before going to bed at night is the best way to cure anxiety. This way you can have a good night’s rest and feel refreshed enough to go to work in the next morning.

Getting rid of anxiety disorders isn’t the same as taking out the trash. If you take your trash out to the curb, it’s gone forever, and won’t come back. But when you try to dispose of chronic anxiety, you often find that this task is more like the child’s game, “whack a mole”. Each time you hit a mole, more moles pop up. Every effort that you make to fight against anxiety, invites more of it. So you need to be able to work smart, not hard, to overcome anxiety disorders.

With regular meditation, you increase your ability to manage anxiety. Headspace co-founder and former
Buddhist monk Andy Puddicombe says that we’re not trying to get rid of the anxiety when we sit to meditate
    – that’s not how you tackle anxiety. As Andy says, “Meditation isn’t about resisting anxiety or pushing it away; it’s about changing our relationship to it, being at ease with it, and being okay with it when it arises, without buying into it. When we’re able to watch the anxiety come and go, then that’s a really comfortable, healthy place to be.”.

How to get rid of anxiety

The long list of things I have tried to get rid of my chronic overthinking, chronic worrying, chronic existential angst (we’ll just call it anxiety) begins with Benzos and Zoloft and yucky spoonfuls of Prozac when I was 13. I’ve tried yoga and meditation and reading Deepak Chopra. I did breathing exercises and went to therapy and all of these things helped in their own way, but I still hated going to bed because I knew that’s when my anxiety thoughts were the worst.

Have you ever been so afraid you couldn’t move? Have you ever felt a sense of fear or panic, even when you know it’s not rational? Extreme fear makes us freeze, but what happens when that fear never goes away? For people who are anxious, scared or fearful, everyday tasks can feel impossible. Learning how to get rid of anxiety is essential to living a normal life. You have goals and dreams to achieve. You want to live a full life, not be tied down by hesitation and fear.

The simplest of natural remedies for stress and anxiety is a regular warm bath, once in the middle of the day and once before going to bed at night. Nothing works like a warm bath in magically cheering you up and cutting down on anxiety and depressive blues. The pressure and stress of a hard day’s work can be washed away gently and effectively with a hot bath. Hence it is one of the best remedies for social anxiety. It will calm you down and smoothen your mood and stirred feelings. Add a few drops of lavender oil to your warm bath to enhance the calming effect and get rid of physical exhaustion and anxiety.

Ways to get rid of anxiety right now

Many people who are new to anxiety disorder hope that there is a ‘special’ fast way to get rid of anxiety sensations, feelings, and symptoms. Unfortunately, there are many people and organizations that claim they offer fast fixes for anxiety sensations, feelings, and symptoms. But are there ‘special’ ways to quickly eliminate anxiety sensations, feelings, and symptoms?

Before we answer that question, some background is required to put our answer into context: anxiety sensations and feelings behaving apprehensively creates the physiological, psychological, and emotional state of anxiety.

Before you can learn how to get rid of anxiety, you first have to understand what it is. In short, anxiety is excessive, persistent fear or worry in non-threatening situations. The causes of anxiety aren’t always clear and they can be different from person to person. Genetic and environmental factors can both play a part, as can conditioned responses and limiting beliefs that were developed in childhood. Anxiety can come from specific triggers, like flying in an airplane or speaking in public, or manifest in generalized fear and worry about small, everyday triggers.

There are many potential reasons why you can get anxious about driving, although it’s a normal day-to-day occurrence for the majority of people. While most of the people suffering from driving related anxiety are not afraid of the car itself, they might fear riding in cars, or general fear when they find themselves on the road. Panic attacks that get connected to the process of driving are one of the fairly common causes of driving anxiety. Luckily, this condition is not that hard to cure and one of the best ways to do that is to gain knowledge. If you find yourself anxious about getting behind the wheel, taking driving lessons might just be the thing you need to cure yourself.

“Every time I think my anxiety is gone for good, it comes back worse than before. Can you help me?”

Cut down on tea, coffee and caffeinated drinks as caffeine can make anxiety worse and interfere with sleep
eat a well balanced diet and eat regularly as going too long without eating can make us feel irritable and anxious.
Get enough sleep as a good rest can make it much easier to think clearly and cope with worries
avoid drinking too much alcohol, although it might make you feel better for a short time, it can make anxiety worse in the long term.

If you are experiencing anxiety in stressful situations, such as public speaking, you need to know that this is normal. Negative emotions are part of our everyday lives and repressing them might do worse than good. Anxiety is good for us as it helps us anticipate future events and prevent them. It sometimes can be a warning signal and since antiquity, anxiety helped our ancestors survive.

Major Malaysian Bank Kenanga Acquires 19% Stake in a Domestic Crypto Exchange

One of Malaysia’s top investment banks has bought a 19% stake in a local crypto exchange via its private equity arm. The Kenanga Investment Bank announced its inception into the crypto business by investing in Tokenize Xchange.

Tokenize Xchange Is One of the Three Malaysian Licensed Crypto Exchanges

Per the official announcement, the bank made the transaction through Kenanga Private Equity Sdn Bhd via a conditional agreement to purchase 19% equity interest in the trading platform.

Hong Qi Yu, chief executive officer of Tokenize Xchange, founded the firm in 2018. Since its launch in Singapore, the exchange has gathered a customer base of over 100,000. On April 1, 2020, the company went live as a licensed crypto firm in the country.

Tokenize Xchange is one of the three licensed (DAX) exchanges approved by the national regulatory body, the Securities Commission Malaysia.

Datuk Chay Wai Leong, group managing director of Kenanga Investment Bank, commented on the move and what the bank has been doing to adopt digital assets:

We have been building a digital ecosystem to offer our customers a wide spectrum of financial products and services, including digital assets. The emergence of digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, has been gaining acceptance globally in the last few years. While we are keen on crypto as an asset class, we are aware of the volatility and the proliferation of unregulated players in the market.

According to Tokenize Xchange’s CEO, Kenanga Investment Bank’s onboarding could bring enough resources to escalate Malaysia’s presence in the crypto space. Also, he seeks to become a “game-changing” influence in the local crypto industry.

Asian Banking Industry’s Increasing Interest in Crypto-Related Ventures

Over recent years, the bank has been taking some initiatives to embark on the digital economy. These included a joint venture with a Japanese firm, Rakuten Inc., to introduce an online stock trading platform in Malaysia.

Although the deal with Tokenize Xchange is the first-of-its-kind within their business, Kenanga is already showing more interest in the digital economy. The bank recently acquired a stake in Merchantrade, a Malaysian e-money operator.

This announcement follows a series of other similar ones in the Asian region, specifically in South Korea. As news.Bitcoin.com reported earlier this year, Shinhan Bank announced an equity investment in the Korea Digital Asset Trust (KDAC).

The company is a joint-venture custody firm founded by a local crypto exchange, Korbit, blockchain firm Blocko, and crypto researcher Fair Square Lab.

What are your thoughts on this announcement by the Malaysian bank? Let us know in the comments section below.

  • Wiccan Magic Spells Casting And Creation Fundamentals

Wiccan Magic Spells Casting And Creation Fundamentals

When it comes to creating and casting Wiccan Magic Spells, it pays to understand the foundations and practice, practice, practice!

Regretfully, Witchcraft in general gets a raw deal a lot of the time.

Thank goodness, and particularly when it refers to Wiccan magic spells, it is not near as horrendous as some would undoubtedly believe!

Forget all about evil spells and jinxes being raised out of bat wings, crawlers and frog’s legs frothing in a giant black cauldron. Genuine Witchcraft is more about harmony and equilibrium. Nevertheless, if I’m being entirely honest, brooms along with burning cauldrons definitely do have their place!

Are Wiccan Magic Spells and Witchcraft The Same?

Wicca is a mind-set, a belief, a recognized religion in reality. And much like any other religion, anybody at all can easily choose to follow Wicca.

Wicca can be examined like any other religion both in solitary or by joining a coven. As TV and movies have depicted, a coven is quite literally a gathering of witches – in the absence of the green faces and warts – living together in perfect and natural harmony.

    Wiccan Magic Spells

The Relationship Between Wiccans and Nature

Wiccans make use of magic (or Magick as often spelt by the Wiccan community to distinguish it from stage magic) largely to promote things. Specifically: love, fertility, healing or to remove negative influences. It is often believed among Wiccans that magick is a law of nature, as instinctive as the sun that rises and the strong wind that blows.

    Getting Started With Magic

Casting Wiccan Magic Spells PDF Download

Supposing that you want to execute Wiccan magick spells, you have to start with learning to comply with some essential principles. Whereas this might sound a little limiting you will actually notice that they will raise the efficacy and even fulfilment of casting your magic spells.

Therefore let’s pause for a minute before we move forward to the actual spells themselves. Following below are a number of the fundamentals for you to take into account:

    – The Wiccan Rede (suggesting advice) – “An it harm none, do what ye will”

    – The Rule of 3 – whatever you do will come back to you with 3 times the power, so always consider the implications and consequences.

    – The Eight Virtues – mirth, reverence, honour, humility, strength, beauty, power and compassion. Seek to include these values not just in your spell work but also in your way of life as a whole. You will be blown away at how much you can make improvements to your life through this rule alone. Your magick will always function much better when it originates from the right place!

    – Five Core Elements – The pentagram is the symbol of Wicca and it works with the main elements of the universe: earth, air, fire, water and spirit. These are to be thought highly of always. Learn to work and direct their exceptional powers.

The Importance Of Intention When Casting Wiccan Magic Spells

Pulling energy and routing it towards positive results with magick is an act of love. When you are focused on the light and love that undeniably is what encompasses the universe, you will recognize how ridiculous gossip about witchcraft really is!

Magic Spells Are Not For Creating Pain, Sorrow or Bad KarmaWiccan Magic Spells

Lots of people who do black magick do it to attack or to use other people since they themselves do not have the ability or are too lazy to empower themselves. Instead, they foolishly lack out and strike others which in turn merely returns to hit them even harder in the future.

Having the opportunity to use and do magick and Wicca should only be put into action for the highest and greatest good that you could be. Making use of magick or Wicca spells to degrade or hold others back or impose your own will on another person is wrong. The very best user of magick spells and Wicca understands that love and balance are the keys to success!

Creating Your Own Wiccan Magic Spells

Eventually, you will likely learn to create your own hybrid system of magick applying your own approaches founded on your tastes and views. Don’t fall victim to being cornered into just one magical passage. Consider them all until you discover one you love and that suits you. Again, true magick emerges from a mixture of what you are and what you have learned.

Adopt these tips for practising Wicca spells and similarly use them to help develop your very own spells and rituals!

Realize that everything is energy, and every energy has a certain vibration. Make the effort to check out the many different vibrations of specific herbs, plants, trees, stones, colours, metals, and symbols. These vibrations are the key to highly effective spells. You definitely would not choose to use the colour black in a love spell for instance.

Once you know the vibrations of each sort of herb, plant, rocks and other aspects of the tools you use for spell work, you have the ability to begin to quickly know what to use in your spells to get your preferred conclusion.

The words you use do not have to rhyme. They can, but they don’t need to.
They need to be with regards to what you hope to attract to you or about the desired outcome. Maybe something simple like “diamond, diamond bring to me, wealth and abundance and pure as thee.”

Strive to use terms that induce you to think and feel about that thing which you desire. Emotion is your vibrational helping hand to the spell. Choose words that help bring into existence and sustain the important and ideal emotion.

Casting A Circle For Your Wiccan Magic

    Wicca Magic Spells

Certainly not always critical but it can be quite powerful and affirming to include a sacred and consecrated area to work within. In much the same way men and women use a Church or sacred place of worship to pray, this can easily grant a consciousness of peace and safety.

There are many approaches and viewpoints on how to cast a circle so experience as many as feasible and find the proper way for you. Consider a place in your home that will be tranquil and private for you to work in.

Here is some more thorough info on how to cast a circle.

Even Your Own Magic Spells Need Practice

    Practice what you learn!
There is a single way to determine if a specific magickal spell or Wiccan ritual will work and that is by trying it out. Lots of people will devote years analyzing occultism and magick but usually never truly get their feet wet by employing it or at the very least giving it a try.

The more you practice the spells at the same time energizing them with faith and will-power will provide you results you can’t accomplish from merely reading.

Real Spells Of Magic ingrained in Wiccan ideals are simultaneously powerful and beautiful. When mixed with true intentions and involve Mother Nature, Wiccan Magic Spells are truly magickal!

So What Is the Best Chameleon to Get For Home

    Veiled Chameleon (Chamaeleo calyptratus)

Veiled chameleons, which are also known as yemen chameleons, belong the genus chamaeleo. They can get fairly large – up to 2 feet! this species gets its name from the crest atop its head. It is also known for having beautiful, vivid patterning. The veiled chameleon is a popular pet for reptile enthusiasts and can also be found in the wild. In fact, the veiled chameleon populates many areas throughout africa. If you keep one as a pet, it’s best to make sure it has its own enclosure, as the veiled chameleon has a tendency to be aggressive and territorial when confronted with other lizards.

Common names: veiled chameleon or yemen chameleon. Scientific name: chamaeleo calyptratus
this is derived from the greek word chameleon, which roughly translates as lion on the ground.

Where do chameleons live in Florida?
They can be found in mountains, valleys, plateaus, and more. They live for only 4 to 5 months, but the incubation period of the eggs is 8 to 9 months. Home – living in florida – what is living in florida really like. Here are 6 of the most common lizards in florida. Chameleons for sale. But in the wild they have shorter lives. This species gets its name from the crest atop its head. Having been a chameleon keeper, on and off for over two decades (reptiles and amphibians in general, for over 30 years), much has changed in our chameleon set-up’s when i look back and compare then, to now.

so what is the best chameleon to get

Chameleons are among the most charming and quirky of all reptiles, most noted for their unique feet, stereoscopic eyes and lighting-fast tongues. Here you can browse a collection of pictures of chameleons, including veiled chameleons, sahel chameleons and common chameleons. The veiled chameleon (chamaeleo calyptratus) inhabits dry plateaus along the borders of yemen and saudi arabia. Like many chameleons, veiled chameleons are arboreal lizards. They have a broad casque on the top of their head which can grow to two inches tall in adults.

    Panther Chameleon (Furcifer pardalis)

Belonging to the genus furcifer, these chameleons come in a variety of bright colors. This vivid coloration is part of what makes thd species so popular among lizard hobbyists. While panther chameleons can perform rapid color changes, they do not change instantly to match any background placed behind them (contrary to what some creatively edited youtube videos would have you believe). They grow to be anywhere from 10 – 18 inches and can live for up to 7 years when properly cared for.

    veiled: chamaeleo calyptratus
    jackson’s: trioceros jacksonii
    panther: furcifer pardalis
is it…brown? green? no, maybe it’s blue? if you’re asking these questions about a reptile, you are most likely talking about a chameleon. Besides being able to change into some truly amazing color schemes, their independently moving (a bit googly) eyes, prehensile tails, and funny faces, chameleons can provide endless entertainment for their owners. Making sure to take the proper steps to provide good care will help them live longer, happier lives. As always, it is important to thoroughly research the care of the specific chameleon species you are interested in keeping.

    chameleon walking in foilage
The cage should have enough room to house a few branches, plants, or artificial limbs to allow your chameleon to climb as they do in the wild.

The following article will help you identify some of the most unique chameleon breeds. These prismatic lizards spend their life in trees, and have the most amazing adaptations. Let’s take a detailed look at some attractive species of chameleons. There are numerous (around 180) species of chameleons trudging the branches of trees around the world. Some species of chameleons are also able to change the color of their skin. Chamaeleo calyptratus, chamaeleo jacksonii, furcifer pardalis, rampholeon brevicaudatus, rhampholeon spectrum (small chameleon species) and rhampholeon temporalis (pygmy chameleons) are some examples of popular chameleon species.

    Jackson’s Chameleon (Trioceros jacksonii)

Jackson’s chameleons are one of our favorites, with three protruding horns, and docile disposition, and with a better-than-average chameleon-lifespan, it’s easy to see why!
the jackson’s chameleon, scientific name – trioceros jacksonii, is a moderately sized chameleon species that is native to africa in south-central kenya and northern tanzania. Adult males can reach a size of 15 inches but typically they average between 6 to 10 inches. Females tend to be smaller and stay between the 6 to 10 inch range.

Dwarf, Carpet, and Lesser Chameleons: The Smaller Chameleon Species to Consider

The bearded dragon (pogona vitticeps) – aka inland or central bearded dragon, is a semi-arboreal agamid lizard that is native to eastern and central australia. These are the natural places they like to climb and perch around these places, such as trunk, trees or on top of rocky outcroppings. Lots of plants, decor, hides and caves. A bearded dragon is a medium-sized lizard native to australia. One of the largest bearded dragons on record was about 28 inches and was a german giant that are now sadly all gone.

When threatened, they prefer to stay still and remain hidden, but do … flapneck, graceful and senegal chameleons: between three and six months, they should be given ten to twelve small crickets daily. Q: which types of insects do the chameleons commonly feed on? here’s one of my hugely gravid panther chameleons. The females get a bright orange stripe on eitherside when they’re gravid.  The casque is present in both males and females, and aids in steering water that falls onto their heads into their mouths.

So what is the best chameleon to get?

Veiled chameleons prefer daytime temperatures between 71°f and 82°f. At night, the temperature can drop a bit. The reptiles are actually fully capable of handling temperatures as down to the upper 40s. However, most owners will utilize a ceramic heater to keep things closer to 70 degrees at night. Chameleons do not respond to heating rocks as other reptiles do. That heat needs to come from a heating lamp. Lamps should be placed on the mesh top of the enclosure.

First and foremost, choose a captive bred pet chameleon. Wild caught chameleons tend to be under tremendous stress from the capture and shipping process and are much more likely to be carrying a heavy parasite load. This combination of things makes it much more likely that a wild caught chameleon will be more susceptible to illness than a captive bred chameleon.

Owners who also put their chameleons in glass cages also report a growth on the glass. Limescale, a hard, off-white chalky deposit commonly found in kettles and hot water boilers and pipes. It is found in places where hot water has evaporated. Since glass tends to conserve heat in hot weather, if you spray your chameleon in the sun, limescale will eventually begin to build on the glass. Limescale will make your glass enclosure unattractive and extremely difficult to clean.

To give your chameleon a chance to bask in the heat, place a branch 6 to 8 inches below it. Veiled chameleons regulate their body temperature on their own. By utilizing a light on the top of the enclosure, you’re creating different temperature ranges. Your chameleon will move throughout the enclosure as they see fit. If they need to cool down a bit, they’ll move down away from the lamp.

Term 1: Chameleon Husbandry Course List

There are around 165 species of chameleon worldwide, but which chameleons make the best pets? there are an overwhelming number of factors to consider, so i’ve compiled a list of what i believe to be the top captive pet chameleons. I’ve ranked them based upon which species tend to thrive in captivity, while simultaneously making a wonderful pet in terms of interactivity, expected lifespan, ease of feeding, origins, and color.

While the cuban false chameleon is not a true chameleon, we felt it deserved an honorable mention in this list. This interesting lizard earned its spot because of its unique chameleon-like anatomy, undemanding husbandry requirements, and overall suitability for beginner chameleon keepers and veteran reptile hobbyists, alike. Cuban false chameleons grow to be 6-9 inches long, with a body shape similar to their anole cousins – but with a few ‘chameleony’ twists….

    A Chameleon’s Defense Against Predators

There are some bigger species that are omnivores and eat small birds and lizards. Chameleons don’t disappear; they change colors to blend into their environment. Most species change color; some can even change the pattern and mix of colors. When a chameleon changes color, it controls the pigments and the amino acid crystals (particularly guanine) ingrained on their skin. Chameleons change colors as a defense mechanism from predators, a signal to other chameleons, and as a technique to regulate body temperature.

    Fun Facts About Chameleons

If you’re looking for a reptile as unique as you are , look no further than the chameleon. While these little reptiles are growing in popularity as exotic pets , there are a few things we bet you didn’t know about chameleon care and behavior. When it comes to the chameleon species, there is a lot more to them than meets the eye. Just take a look at these 10 facts you probably didn’t know about chameleons. Whether you’re thinking of getting your first pet chameleon or just find these creatures fascinating, we bet you’ll learn something new from these fun facts.

    Chameleon FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

We hope you enjoyed this list of the best types of chameleons you can keep as pets. We had a ton of fun putting it together!
There’s a reason why these lizards are so popular. Their unique look, peaceful temperament, and ease of care (most of the time) makes them a no-brainer for beginners and experienced owners alike. If there are any other species that you think deserve a spot on the list, feel free to send them over! there are so many to choose from that we tried to keep things brief, but if you make a good argument we might add some more!.

The veiled chameleon is a colorful reptile, fragile that needs proper care to grow healthily and happily. This reptile is not a pet for the absolute beginners. The easiest way to distinguish the veiled from other chameleons is the tall casque or appendage found on top of the head, which looks like a helmet. Usually, the male casque is noticeably larger than the female if they are of the same size or age.

I do not recommend keeping these creatures as pets, at least not for beginners. Even if you’ve been keeping lizards for years, you’ll find a new level of difficulty when you bring home a chameleon. Yes, they are fascinating creatures. Yes, they are neat to watch. But i speak from personal experience when i say that chameleons are one of the hardest reptiles to care for in captivity (and i do this full time).

Veiled chameleons are a challenging reptile pet for most beginners. Preventive measures such as proper enclosure setup, well-maintained habitat, clean and nutritious food, and avoid frequent handling to reduce stress. As long as these are taken care of, you will be well assured that you’ll have a healthy and active veiled chameleon. It is good to take note that their skin sheds regularly. Correct humidity level and providing a shed box with sphagnum moss may assist the shedding process better.

  • Your Spinach Is Watching You

    Your Spinach Is Watching You

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Axios sums it up like this: “Researchers at MIT have devised a way to allow chemical signals from spinach plants to transmit an email.” What would you want your spinach to email you about? The presence of explosives, apparently.

The new technology allows spinach roots to detect certain substances and then transmit a reading to an infrared camera. The camera can be pre-programmed to send off the alert.

The underlying aim of the research is to leverage the existing capabilities of plants by creating ways for them to communicate with us. With our existing technology, at least.

Mother Nature, the Terminator films’ Skynet and Big Brother have formed an alliance to monitor you. Who needs CCT when you’ve got spinach?

All that’s the bad news. But if you look back, today’s epoch would probably terrify people too. The speed of cars hurtling through cities. Invisible WiFi signals transmitting information through us. Foreign food on our shelves. Vaccines that only took months to test.

Terrifying stuff… not so long ago.

But these days, they’re practically a necessity.

Although I’m still not so convinced about this spinach thing…

Then again, it’s tough to know how innovation will create products that need it. Innovation usually happens the other way around. We know what we want, but can’t quite get the tech to make it happen.

That’s not always how it works though. Computers and the internet were once considered useful to only very few people. Now we’re busy turning spinach into a computer just to make it more useful.

In Dubai, cell phone towers are dressed up as suspicious-looking palm trees. What if palm trees could be cell phone towers?

NASA and the Canadian Space Agency have launched a competition on how to help astronauts make food. Spinach that can tell its future beneficiaries whether it needs more or fewer nutrients and watering would be rather useful in that environment. Or perhaps the spinach could optimise its own supply of nutrients. A farm where the food farms itself. Much better than having astronauts do the weeding on Mars. There are probably better things to do. I assume…

My own favourite application of all this tech is a long-time libertarian bugaboo. It’s all about “how to save the whales”. Most people want governments to make laws to protect animals like whales. They imagine the Royal Navy blowing Japan’s fishing fleet out of the water to protect Moby Dick.

But what if you sold the whales instead?

What if the green movement could buy whales, thereby making them their property. Then fishermen couldn’t catch them. It’d be stealing.

By protecting whales and making them out of reach of the private sector, governments simply encourage those who are willing to ignore this designation.

But technology could dramatically resolve this. The whales could be owned and marked as such, finally making it possible to sell them in order to preserve them.

The commercial applications are probably far more interesting to you. The line between wild and farmed seafood could blur. And why stop at seafood?

Another bugaboo I have is painfully low-tech solutions to simple problems. You’d think we’d have mastered how to find leaks in mains pipes, right? But a few weeks ago, the city of Sydney began using sniffer dogs to find water leaks.

Sniffer dogs to find hidden water leaks in mains pipes?

I know this is sounding more and more absurd. Spinach that finds explosives and sniffer dogs that find broken pipes, but it’s supposedly true. “Winnie, a highly intelligent Cocker Spaniel, and Ziggy, an energetic English Springer Spaniel,” are on the prowl.

But what if the water pipe itself sent us an email instead? Sydney’s water management company, I mean. You probably don’t want to know about a leak in Parramatta.

The Internet of all Things (IoT) is often sold as some sort of consumer electronics revolution. To make your life easier. Which makes me a bit sceptical. I like to adopt the technology once everyone else has ironed out the kinks.

That can be a flawed strategy, of course. I’m in a house with no heating or insulation and it’s snowing outside. Yet our toilet has 36 buttons and a heated seat. That’s a normal combination in Japan.

Back in London, my Japanese wife and even more Japanese sister-in-law couldn’t comprehend that heating the floor would heat the room too. I blasted the central heating just to prove a point.

Meanwhile, my tech-obsessed friend Sam Volkering, whose home is presumably kitted out like the Starship Enterprise, once described the chaos which power outages caused on his home. It was a great article about the consequences of too much tech.

So, there is no optimal strategy when it comes to tech adoption. You’re in for a rough time no matter how you kit out your home, or avoid doing so.

The thing is, what if the 5G and IoT revolution aren’t just about the world around you? What if it does far more revolutionary things that you never even find out about?

Car crashes could become a thing of the past. Energy and resource waste could be drastically cut. Traffic flows optimised so well they feel seamless. Mines could operate without people in them, so nobody risks their life to provide you with manganese. Queues could become non-existent too unless we make a law to keep them for cultural reasons.

These changes wouldn’t be comparable to your fridge or toilet talking to you, as many tech savants like to suggest. (If you think that’s weird, our bath here in Japan already does talk.) I’m talking about changes you barely even notice. Like when 3G became 4G on your phone.

Of course, investors would still be profiting from this radical shift. If they own the stocks that make it happen and the stocks that benefit most from the shift.

And so I’d like to introduce you to Nikola Tesla’s final prophecy

What Is Money? – Geopolitical Implications On Gold

Today We Want To Speak With You About What Money Is …

You may not think about it much … however, that tenner in your back pocket comes with a lot of baggage.

On one side it states, I promise to pay the bearer as needed the amount of ten pounds. However 10 pounds of what!?

There is more to all this than fulfills the eye.

If you wish to reclaim control of your money, then a basic understanding of what money is should become part of that. And when you have that understanding, then the recommendations at the end these days will make a great deal of sense. So, let’s start.

    What is money?

    what is money

We now reside in an age of fiat money. Fiat indicating “by decree of the government”.

In other words, the political leaders and their central lenders decide what’s money, how much of it there is, and who gets how much of it.

This normally means political leaders and their monetary henchmen can develop harebrained plans like the euro, zero percent rate of interest, and quantitative easing (QE).

The history of fiat money is a miserable one. Hyperinflation, money printing, depressions, 15% rate of interest, debasement and monetary mismanagement, simply to point out a couple of episodes.

When you offer a political leader control of something, it’s just a matter of time before they filth it up in some way. And when they muck up our money, they muck up our whole economy with it.

A lot of individuals have an underlying sense right now that something is just “wrong” with their money.

If you’re one of them, you’re right!

The world of “money” is like an alternate truth. Very little makes sense for the man on the street. Due to the fact that political leaders merely decide what’s what.

There are obviously options to fiat money. The government doesn’t need to remain in control in the way it is now. Very few individuals understand these alternatives.

This is something care deeply about. I have actually spent the last decade of my life revealing to personal investors how to start taking charge of their own monetary fates.

It’s a subject that Nigel is very passionate about too. He has actually taken this battle up on your behalf. And not in a theoretical way. He’s gone to fantastic lengths to do something about it.

Nigel has employed an investor he trusts– a guy with an excellent history of revealing the man on the street how to find success on the stock exchange.

This previous banking expert has actually developed a wealth-building plan that you can get your hands on TODAY. It contains three vital money moves that he believes you should seriously consider.

To get the full details on what Nigel’s laid on for you– and how to get your wealth-building blueprint …

Which consists of the smartest way to own gold (according to Nigel’s ‘guy on the within’) …

Click here or on the video player below:

As you will see, Nigel is a guy on a mission– to help you be the one in control of your cash.

Not so long back, the word “cash” indicated physical gold.

As just recently as 1970, gold itself was still money. And that kept political leaders in check. They could not just print gold willy nilly to finance their deficits. And bad economic policies, such as too much government costs, meant gold left the country till an embarrassing crisis struck.

Having gold as money keeps political leaders liable to something really genuine and measurable, which they can’t manipulate. That’s why government debt exploded after the 1970s when the last link to gold was lost. Ever since federal governments and central lenders have actually remained in complete control.

Why are we examining all this today?

For a basic reason. Political horning in the money supply is back, larger than ever. There’s even broach negative rates of interest in the UK. What does that indicate?

The bank would charge you money on your cost savings! Some currently do in Europe.

I think it’s time for you to act versus these hazards. However how?

Well, do not invest your time awaiting the government to go back on to the gold standard! Regardless of Nigel’s attempt to stop him, Chancellor Gordon Brown offered a good piece of Britain’s gold (at a shamefully low price) years ago.

Fortunately is, you can take action yourself, as an individual.

How to create your own “gold requirement”

By going on to your own individual gold standard, you can get the advantages of monetary stability, even if the federal government isn’t providing them.

All you require to do to state your own personal gold requirement is own some physical gold. It’s that easy.

Why trouble? What’s the effect of this?

Well, the gold price has actually been doing better than every other kind of investment.

Over the last 20 years, it has exceeded the stockmarket comfortably. You don’t hear many financial experts speak about this because … well, there’s no little fee to collect on it.

Of course, gold does not always surpass. Here’s what I desire to emphasise.

Gold gives your wealth the stability of gold, just as gold utilized to lend its stability to the value of our currency. Think of owning some gold in your portfolio as laying a foundation for everything else.

The basic idea is easy. While the value of your assets might go up, down, or both in time, the gold you own probably won’t be doing anything especially interesting.

    Wealth for all seasons

Banking crisis? Your gold won’t care because it’s not in a bank.

High inflation? Your gold will simply go up in value to change for the falling value of money.

Currency crisis? The UK gold price will increase as much as the pound goes down.

Negative rates of interest? Gold isn’t subject to such rubbish. The gold price should benefit as more people leave the banking system for the security of gold.

Gold is simply gold. It’s dull, most of the time, however, that’s the point. It’s an opt-out from the machinations of the fiat monetary system. It’s politics-proof. It provides you with the flexibility to get away the government’s mad schemes.

However simply how steady is the gold price over extended periods of time?

Half a millennium of wealth protection

In 2016 BullionStar did the maths for the preceding 500 years. It concluded that gold’s purchasing power is volatile in the short-term, however extremely steady over the long term:

[…] while there is no precise continuous in economics, the stability of gold’s purchasing power is extraordinary. Not only on a gold requirement the metal shows it’s constant nature but also off the gold basic gold’s buying power is incredibly constant, albeit more unpredictable in the short term.

This is in plain contrast to the fiat money system, which has crashed in value in time. About 300 years ago, the gold price set by Sir Isaac Newton as Master of the Mint was about ₤ 4.30. Today, the gold price is around ₤ 1414.

In case you do not think inflation statistics returning 500 years, like me, consider this comparison from Doug Casey of Casey Research in 2009.

He utilizes US dollars and silver instead of gold for a few of the analysis due to the fact that it was the currency for typical use, historically speaking. The extraordinary stability of both over long durations of time is apparent:

Gold’s main purpose is to maintain your purchasing power. Whether it be roaring inflation, or dollar debasement, or economic upheaval, or out-of-control government costs, it has been the absolute finest form of protection throughout the history of humanity. And I can prove it.

Let’s trace what an ounce of silver or gold — true money — has had the ability to acquire at various durations in history, and how it compares to today.

1979: Gold’s typical price that year was $306.68. This bought an average-priced full-size bed.

Thirty years later on, $950 would still purchase you a full-size bed.

1963: A gallon of fuel in America cost 31 cents. This indicated that 3 silver cents could purchase a gallon of gasoline. The overall weight of silver in 3 silver dimes is.217 of an ounce.

Today, 3 silver dimes would buy a gallon of gasoline anywhere in the U.S.

600 AD: In the Middle East, a chicken at the time of Mohammad would cost a family one silver Dirham (3 grams).

Today, 1,400 years later on, a chicken in the Middle East would still cost a household one silver Dirham.

Time of Christ: Under the Roman Empire, an ounce of gold bought a Roman person his toga (suit), a leather belt, and a set of sandals.

Today, one ounce of gold will still purchase a man a fit, a leather belt, and a set of shoes.

400 BC: Some scholars report that during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar, an ounce of gold bought 350 loaves of bread.

Today, an ounce of gold still purchases about 350 loaves ($950 divided by 350 = $2.73/ loaf).

1000 BC: King Solomon was known to have actually purchased lots of horses for his army. Historical records show he bought them in Egypt for 150 shekels of silver each. 150 shekels had to do with 55 troy ounces of silver.

Today, you can still purchase a riding horse for 55 troy ounces of silver ($800).

Nowadays, gold and silver prices are higher than they remained in 2009 when that short article was composed. That shows the short-term volatility of the gold and silver price can be essential too. A lot of inflation has actually happened since 2009 too …

As I see it, gold is like insurance against insurance coverage megalomaniacs financial the Bank of England and Exchequer. Its function is to assist you to sleep during the night, even when your other investments are bouncing around all over the place or while the economy is going haywire. And to safeguard you from the long-lasting debasement of the pound– better known as inflation.

If you have not currently, it’s time to declare your own personal gold standard. We reveal you how to buy gold and the do’s and do not’s, here in your complimentary report on the topic.

How to Calculate Dog Years to Human Years

All animals “age” at different rates and our domestic dogs and cats are no exception. Unlike humans, these pets seem to age more rapidly in terms of human years, with both animals being of an age equivalent to about 15 human years by the time they are one year old. There are, however, some differences for dogs. Some people have determined an age range depending on the size of the animal. For example, a dog over 90 pounds may only be equivalent to 12 human years by the time it is one year old; a dog 51 to 90 pounds is about 14 human years old when it is one year old; and dogs under 50 pounds are the equivalent of 15 human years by their first year.

How old is your dog in human years? we used to simply multiply a dog’s age by seven. However, this calculation isn’t so cut-and-dried. See our dog age calculator and chart to discover your dog’s age.

It is not easy to calculate a cat’s age as there is no definite formula to do this. Although one can use clues in physical appearance like teeth, coat, energy levels. I would recommend if you want to find out the age accurately take your cat to the vet for several examinations. Nevertheless, a cat age calculator or chart, a graph can give you your cats age even though it might not be accurate. When using a chart to determine the cat age in human years consider the life stages for cats.

The easy way to calculate a dog’s age is to take 1 dog year and multiple it by 7 years. This is based on an assumption that dogs live to about 10 and humans live to about 70, on average. For example, a dog which is 5 years old is 35 “human years. ” this isn’t a bad way to go from a health perspective because it helps us humans realize that our dogs aren’t the same as children.

How to Calculate Dog Years to Human Years?

Statistics from pet-insurance companies, breed-club surveys, and veterinary hospitals have helped us learn more about how dog’s age. Dogs do not age at a rate of 7 human years for each year in dog years. According to the American veterinary medical association:
the first year of a medium-sized dog’s life is 15 years of a human’s life. The second year of a dog’s life equals about nine years for a human.

And after that, every human year equals approximately four or five years for a dog. In other words, the number of human years piles onto a dog’s life more quickly during the dog’s rapid growth to maturity.

If your dog was a human, how old would he be?
ever wonder how old your dog is in human years? not all breeds age alike, so use this program to calculate your dog’s “human” age.

Dog Age Chart: Dog Years to Human Years

It’s common knowledge that one year of a dog’s life is equal to seven human years…or is it? if this is the way you’ve been calculating your dog’s age, don’t worry – you’re not alone. However, the truth is that this method isn’t entirely accurate. Historically, it’s very likely that the “one dog year equals seven human years” method was created to simply show that dogs age faster than humans. Today, scientists and researchers have developed a more precise method of calculating a dog’s age to human years.

If you’re looking to calculate your dog’s age in human years more accurately, you can use a new formula created by researchers at the University of California San Diego school of medicine. These researchers studied the way human and dog DNA changes over time looking at patterns called methyl groups in humans and labrador retrievers. From this research, they concluded that you can calculate a dog’s age to human years by multiplying the natural logarithm of the dog’s age by 16 and adding 31. Their formula looks like this: (human_age = 16ln(dog_age) + 31).

As you can see, this formula is pretty complex, so it can be useful to plug in your dog’s age to an automatic calculator programmed with this formula, like the one here.

Dog Age Calculator: Dog Years to Human Years

By popular demand, I’ve created a cat year calculator, similar to the dog year calculator i made a while back. Like dog years, cat years aren’t worked out linearly*, so this tool makes things easy for everyone. Simply adjust the human year/month slider to see the age of your feline in cat years. How old is your cat?.

Our scotch collie, buckaroo, is just shy of 14 years old. Following the long-debunked but still popular idea that one dog year equals seven human years, he’s almost a centenarian. (this “formula” may be based on average life spans of 10 and 70 years for dogs and people, respectively. ) now, researchers say they have a new formula (see calculator below) to convert dog years to human years—one with some actual science behind it.

More about the dog year chart. Turns out, math is not that easy. If you own a dog, you might have heard that 1 dog year is equal to 7 human years. That is not very accurate, since dogs reach adulthood within the first couple of years. Dogs grow quicker than we do early. It can obviously be used both ways. This calculator allows the user to adjust the rate of ageing during the first two years of the dog’s life. After two years, a canine will age three to five dog years per calendar year.

The team also developed a new epigenetic clock and a formula for calculating it. The dog’s age must be greater than one year, then that dog age is converted into a natural logarithm and that log is multiplied by 16, and then 31 added for a total. For example, if a dog is 14 years old, the natural log of 14 is 2. 6390, multiplying that by 16 equals 42. 224, adding 31 brings it to 73. 2. That’s a lot of math! see our dog age calculator and our dog year chart for easy reference.

Dog Years to Human Years Converter

How old is your cat in human years considering their small size cats live an amazingly long time? Although cats are smaller than most dogs, they generally live longer. A healthy cat can live to 20 years with a good diet, exercise, and good genetics, etc. Obviously, cats mature much more rapidly than people. It can be very difficult to tell the age of an adult cat as their outward appearance changes very little. In comparison to humans cats as they age still appear very youthful.

For an easier (and also accurate) way to estimate your dog’s age, you can follow this methodology for small, medium, and large dogs under 100 lbs. The first year of a dog’s life is equal to 15 human years. The second year of a dog’s life is equal to about nine human years. Each additional year is equal to about four or five human years.

So, why is this more accurate than the “one dog year equals seven human years” method?
because it takes into account that not all dogs breed age the same way. In general, smaller dogs live longer than larger dogs, so while a seven-year-old great dane might be considered a “senior” dog, the same isn’t necessarily true for a seven-year-old chihuahua. Therefore, it’s helpful to break down a dog age chart in terms of size, as you’ll see below. Generally, you can group dogs into small dogs (under 20 lbs), medium dogs (20 to 50 lbs), large dogs (50-100 lbs), and giant dogs (100+ lbs).

Cat Age Chart: Cat Years to Human

There is no reliable method to convert the cat years to human years. But people have now agreed that there is a difference in ageing. The first two years of a cat’s life is actually equal to the 25 years of human age. After that, every year, the age is increased at the rate of 4 cat years’ additionally. For example, when calculating the age of 6 years old cat in human age, it will be equivalent to 41 years. Based on various experiments, cat enthusiasts and other vets concluded that the world’s oldest cat lived up to 34 years, which is equivalent to 153 human years.

Check out the dog age to human age chart below to calculate your dog’s age in human years based on their size group:.

Buskers cat team may 8, 2020 article, blog, cat advice, inspiration no comments as a cat owner you would want to know how old your cat is in human years. Firstly, felines, as they get older, tend to have youthful looks and their physical statue start to change. There are some differences in age conversion, depending on breed and weight and other factors while calculating the cats’ age.

People typically have a misconception that a one human year cat is equal to the seven cat years. But this seems to be wrong. Because considering various aspects, the one-year-old cats seem to be more mature than a seven-year-old kid. That’s how the conclusion was made, which led to various experiments conducted later. Suppose if you are adopting a cat or bringing a stray cat home, then you may be uncertain about the age. If you take them to the vet, they will conduct certain physical exams and tests to confirm the age.

Dog and Cat Wooden Signs Show

Therefore, it can be helpful to look at physical and behaviour clues to determine your dog’s age. For example, teeth can be a particularly useful indicator of your dog’s age. As petmd explains, by seven months, all of your dog’s permanent teeth are in; by 1-2 years, they’ll be duller and might have some yellowing; and by 5-10 years, they’ll show wear and possibly signs of disease.

Cats and dogs have a lot in common with humans when it comes to ageing. As humans get older, they may slow down, form wrinkles, and sprout a few grey hairs. Dogs and cats share the same signs. Here are a few ways ageing pets show their maturity:
though it may be difficult to identify or evaluate, ageing pets may experience hearing or vision loss.

A look into their mouths to inspect their nashers is a good indication of age, especially in their earlier years. It isn’t until they are four weeks old that dogs start to get teeth, and even then it is only their baby teeth. Their permanent teeth develop at three to four months. But as they get older, it’s the colour that is the biggest giveaway of age. They remain bright and white for the first year but after then can show signs of wear.

Late-age disorders such as arthritis and dementia can also indicate that your pooch is reaching their golden years. The onset of these diseases and disorders can take a toll on your dog and might make them show other signs of ageing. If your dog develops these disorders earlier in their lifespan, they might act elderly sooner than other dogs. If you think your german shepherd is becoming elderly, it may be wise to take them in for a routine check-up at the veterinarian’s clinic to ensure your pup isn’t developing any serious diseases common in elderly dogs.

    Cat ages in human years

The 15 years and older cats are real survivors. With proper nutrition and well-maintenance, they can even survive longer. But this is absolutely a time for their calmness and peace. You know that they are not going to create any trouble. They always wanted to stick with their owner no matter what. They cannot survive without supplements during this age. Slowly, they tend to lose the ability to hear first, followed by the vision. Most cats tend to sleep longer, and in fact, that will be most of their day.

    cat chart

As you can see in our dog age chart – aside from the giant category – small, medium, and large dogs age pretty similarly until they reach about age six. Then, larger dogs age much faster in comparison to their smaller and medium counterparts. By seven years old, a small dog, like a dachshund, will be six human years younger than a large breed, like an Airedale terrier. Why is this?.

Using a dog age chart to estimate your dog’s age in human years is a fun and insightful way to learn more about them! it’s important for other reasons, too. Namely, understanding how old your dog is and how they’re ageing allows you to properly care for them – and help give them the best life possible. Keep in mind, if you have a larger dog, you’ll want to start looking for signs of ageing around five or six, whereas smaller dog owners might not see any real signs until their dog is seven or eight.

There are many several factors to consider, so it’s not possible to pin it down precisely, but the avma says: “cats and small dogs are generally considered ‘senior’ at seven years old, but we all know they’ve got plenty of life left in them at that age. Larger-breed dogs tend to have shorter lifespans compared to smaller breeds and are often considered senior when they are 5 to 6 years of age. The ‘senior’ classification is based on the fact that pets age faster than people, and veterinarians start seeing more age-related problems in these pets.

    DOG AND CAT AGES

Cats tend to age more gracefully than dogs, but they still age. Eventually, they can’t jump to the top of the refrigerator any more. Their appetites wane. They sleep more. What else can you expect as your cat ages? nationally known veterinarian, author, and television personality dr. Marty becker gives you the scoop and explains how to best help them enjoy their older years.

“complications in comparing dog age to human age are well-founded” complications in comparing dog age to human age are well-founded. The old 7 dog years =1 human year theory is inaccurate because the dog ages and develops more quickly in the first two years of life. Plus the ratio varies with dog breed and size. Even the more accepted equation utilizing the 10. 5 factors the first two years of the dog’s life and 4 years thereafter has pitfalls because it doesn’t account for size and breed. The more accurate estimate of a dog’s age in human years is calculated taking size and breed into consideration.

dog lying down with a cat rubbing next to the dog

(dog’s age in equivalent human years, based on the stage of development/ageing)

You’ve probably used the following easy-math rule for calculating how old your dog is: multiply their dog age by seven to get their age equivalent in human years. The formula was likely based on the fact that while most humans get to live until they’re 70, dogs live on average 10 years. However, this rule doesn’t always offer reliable results. The dog’s size and breed play an important part in their life expectancy, with smaller breeds usually living longer than larger breeds. Larger breeds live shorter lives, so they mature more quickly.

It’s time to rethink your dog’s age. With recent research underway, it was discovered that dogs age faster at first and then only taper into the equivalent of human middle-age only after a few years. As we said, this is why it’s better to look at your doggo’s age in stages rather than age milestones. According to the new scientist, there’s a new formula to calculate dog years to human years. In their findings, they cited that the first year of your pup’s life is the equivalent to 15 human ones! from 2 years old, we see a slower progression in human standards.

Have you always thought that one human year is equivalent to 7 dog years? well, that’s no longer the case. The old formula was based on the assumption that dogs live to around 10 years old, and humans to about 70. Since then, experts have learned a lot more about dog breeds and how they age. How old is my dachshund in human years? dachshunds are small dogs, so tend to live longer than larger breeds. In the first 2 years of their life, they mature really quickly. By the time they reach their first birthday, they’re already 15 human years old and, by 2, they’re the equivalent of 24 human years.

Ultimately, scientists aren’t completely sure why smaller dogs age slower and live longer than larger ones. According to the American kennel club, some researchers hypothesize that it’s because larger dogs are affected by age-related diseases more quickly. Similarly, larger dogs progress from puppyhood to adulthood much faster, making abnormal cell growth, cancer, and other diseases more likely. It’s for this reason that using the “one dog year equals seven human years” calculation isn’t completely accurate.

At the end of the day, even though the common “one dog year equals seven human years” method has been around for years, it’s not very accurate. Luckily, with new research, we now have a more accurate way of estimating the age of our dogs. Although the math can be a little more complex than a straightforward 1:7 ratio, you can always refer to our dog age to human years chart (or even print it out!) to quickly and easily calculate how old your pup is.

If you own a dog, you’ve heard this rule: 1 year for Fido equals 7 years for you. Turns out, the math isn’t that simple. Dogs mature more quickly than we do early on. So the first year of your fuzzy friend’s life is equal to about 15 human years. Size and breed also play a role. Smaller dogs tend to live longer than larger ones, but they may mature more quickly in the first few years of life.

As you can see, this formula is pretty complex, so it can be useful to plug in your dog’s age to an automatic calculator programmed with this formula, like the one here.

Dog Age Calculator: Dog Years to Human Years

Our scotch collie, buckaroo, is just shy of 14 years old. Following the long-debunked but still popular idea that one dog year equals seven human years, he’s almost a centenarian. (this “formula” may be based on average life spans of 10 and 70 years for dogs and people, respectively. ) now, researchers say they have a new formula (see calculator below) to convert dog years to human years—one with some actual science behind it.

There are, however, some differences for dogs. Some people have determined an age range depending on the size of the animal. For example, a dog over 90 pounds may only be equivalent to 12 human years by the time it is one year old; a dog 51 to 90 pounds is about 14 human years old when it is one year old, and dogs under 50 pounds are the equivalent of 15 human years by their first year.

For example, a dog which is 5 years old is 35 “human years. ” this isn’t a bad way to go from a health perspective because it helps us humans realize that our dogs aren’t the same as children.

Smartwatch Versus Fitness Tracker – Which Should You Buy?

The Smartwatch versus Fitness Tracker debate is raging! With the recent amazing improvements in smartwatch technology and the same too for fitness trackers, everybody wants one or the other, but we don’t know which is best? Trackers are usually cheaper, but should we spend more on a more versatile smartwatch? Read on to find out what we think:

Which Should You Buy: Smartwatch or Fitness Tracker?

Smartwatches are becoming increasingly popular as they allow the watch to keep track of your fitness routines and monitor your heart rate. Whereas a fitness tracker measures the number of calories you burn, the watch simply measures the amount of time you are spending on the fitness routines. There is some confusion over whether the watches actually measure the number of calories you burn or simply the amount of time spent in your routine. While there is some truth to these ideas, there is also a big difference between the two. In this article, we will look at smartwatches as compared to fitness trackers and see what the benefits are of having one.

Timepiece vs. Tracking? The Differences and How To Choose

The biggest benefit of a smartwatch is that it is extremely simple to set up and use. Whereas the fitness tracker can be slightly more complicated, but generally the two are very similar. The only difference is that the watch can track more information than the equivalent fitness tracker and can store more data.

Featured Image with text: "Smartwatch versus Fitness Tracker".

Also, the watch is very simple to use. You just wear it keeps track of everything. When you are done with a session the watch will store the data so that you can keep track of the calories burned, the distance you ran and the number of repetitions you did. A lot of the older generation of fitness trackers required you to have a really expensive computer in order to be able to store the data and the software to run it. Modern smartwatches are very much cheap and easy to set up and run.

Should I Buy A Fitness Tracker Or A Smartwatch? – Which?

Another benefit is that a smartwatch will allow you to get more feedback from your workout. A fitness tracker will rely on your pulse rate monitor, which may not work very well. The smartwatch will let you know exactly how effective your workout is by measuring the time it took for your heart rate to spike and then lowering it. If you are exercising hard, you will know if you are getting enough exercise.

Is a Tracker or Smartwatch Right for You?

Also, you will notice that you are finishing your workout much faster when using the watch than when you are working out with a fitness tracker. This is because the watch knows exactly how hard you are working and will make you stop sooner. As your fitness increases, the watch will give you more feedback so that you can make your workout more effective. There is a feedback mechanism inside the watch, which monitors the heart rate so that the watch can tell if you are working at an optimal intensity or not.

Finally, and this is probably my favourite benefit of the smartwatch – no more counting calories or keeping an eye on your fitness heart rate monitor. With the watch, you don’t have to carry around a bunch of devices. You can keep track of your goals and exercise. You can also talk to your friends or family about your progress. And you can use it while you are running or exercising. It’s a great companion, and it really makes exercising fun.

    Which Is Worth Your Money?

In addition, the smartwatch will allow you to track your calorie intake so that you can plan meals that are right for you. If you’re a dieter, you can set up alarms so that you know when you need to eat a certain meal. The built-in calorie estimator will also allow you to calculate how many calories you are burning during your workout so that you can make dietary changes accordingly.

we have not even mentioned the Apple Watch. It certainly reigns supreme for features and is the gold standard for what a smartwatch can be and do, but at a high price. Our view is that the Apple Watch while fabulous isn’t really necessary for the average sports person, but it is certainly a glorious gadget!

Concluding – A Tale of Two Wearables: Fitness Tracker vs. Smartwatch

The smartwatch versus fitness tracker debate has raged on for a while now. While both are great products, it seems to boil down to personal preference. Which features are important to you? Which do you think you will use more? Do you need one device or two?
